Obituary of Patty Poss

Patty (Patricia) Ann (Mincer-Arends) Poss of Kansas City Missouri, formerly of Milford Iowa, died Friday, May 11, 2012 after a short, courageous battle with cancer with all her family present. Patty was born October 24, 1956 in Spencer Iowa to Roger and Ann (Dwinger) Mincer. She was previously married to Larry Arends and later to Craig Poss. Patty is survived by daughters Tracy (Arends) Vogelmeier, Sheri Poss, and son Craigy (Brenda) Poss, grandchildren, Zane and Riley, her beloved dog, Dorey, and grandpuppy, Izzy. She is survived by her mother, Ann Mincer, brothers and sisters, Jim (Kathi) Mincer , Tia Hofmeyer, Steve (Beth) Mincer, Glenda (Sid) Simpson, Kevin Mincer, and Jeff (Cindy) Mincer and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Jason, father, Roger, granddaughter, Jade and grandparents Patty attended Denison and Milford Community Schools, and ILCC in Estherville. Her degree in computer science led her to a career in computer programming at Sathers, Stylecraft/Klaussner, and GXS She was active in ACS/Relay for Life and Special Olympics, especially Riley Rides. Hobbies included reading and crafts. She loved outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
