I met Chris at the Okoboji Elementary when I taught first grade and she worked in the Library. She was always eager to have the children come in for story hour-she loved this time with the kids to share the love of books. Chris was a beautiful woman and I will always remember her smile.

Chris (and Wendell) were an amazing couple. Growing up, they didn’t just have 3 children of of their own, but cared and loved many as their own. Wendell’s spirit lived on through Chris and I know she will shine down through another! Rest In Peace my beautiful friend...

I so enjoyed going to the November Okoboji TedX talks with Chris. She was so easy to be around. But one of my favorite things was listening to her interact with the speakers & coordinators of the Tedx talks. She was such an encourager, and noticed intricate details and then shared sweet insights and compliments with them as she asked questions and commented.
She helped as a leader at the Okoboji Griefshare from Sept. to December this year. I loved her being there. She shared from her heart as she lived in wisdom and compassion. She invited one of the griefshare attendees to come to our church, and Chris took extra time to connect with her when she showed up there.
She sat ahead of my family at church, and I will miss her there, and all the other ways our lives crossed. Two of my grandkids knew her, and loved her. Of course.
She lived out her faith. I will always be inspired by her.
