I am so saddened to learn of Susan's passing. We had attended Howe Elementary School in Des Moines together and in the 6th grade she was my first girlfriend. What a sweet and pretty blue-eyed blond girl she was. So many fun times we had cutting up in class with her best friend, Marilynn Cosper. At the beginning of the school year at Nathan Weeks Junior High, she and her family moved to another school district and I lost track of her. But I never forgot about her and her sister, Barbara Jo.
