Obituary of Sharlene Kinnetz-Albert

A Celebration Gathering for Sharlene Kinnetz-Albert, age 63, of Spirit Lake will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 from 3:00-5:00PM at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. There will be a Celebration of Life service at 5:00PM. The family welcomes you to wear Hawkeye attire to the visitation and service in honor of Shar. Sharlene Ann Kinnetz-Albert, the daughter of Annabell (Flint) and Leo Kinnetz, was born June 22, 1956 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. Sharlene moved to the Lakes area where she started work at Mrs. Lady's and later became a caregiver. On December 4, 2009, Sharlene was married to Michael (Mike) Albert in Wahpeton, Iowa. She loved the Iowa Hawkeyes, bowling and going to the casino. She enjoyed watching her husband, son and grandson race and loved playing cards, games and spending time with her family and friends. Sharlene was known for always helping people and she truly enjoyed caring for others. Sharlene passed away February 23, 2020 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at sixty-three years of age (or 59 as she always said). She is survived by her husband, Mike Albert; son, Eric Kinnetz and his wife, Jeanenne; grandson, Leo Kinnetz; step-son, Mike Albert Jr. and his wife, Sara Albert; granddaughter, Brooke; her mother, Annabell Kinnetz; three brothers, one sister and numerous nieces and nephews. Sharlene was preceded in death by her father, Leo Kinnetz.
