Obituary of Dawn Ogle Carkhuff

Dawn Marie Ogle Carkhuff, the daughter of Alvin and Betty (Von Holt) Ogle, was born on July 13, 1958 in Spirit Lake, Iowa.  She attended Spirit Lake High School.
Dawn married Danny Carkhuff on June 28, 1985 and they made their home in Spirit Lake.  She was dedicated to taking care of the home and raising their daughter, Angela.

Dawn and Danny enjoyed making and painting wooden lawn decorations and would sell them at flea markets. She loved camping, fishing and planning family gatherings, making the best Deviled Eggs on the planet. Dawn loved playing words with friends and could beat the best of them.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Dawn passed away June 7, 2020 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake at sixty-one years of age.

Dawn is survived by her husband, Danny Carkhuff; daughter, Angela Stafford; brothers, Floyd Ogle and Donald (Sheryl) Ogle; sister, Deanna (Bob) Tackett; grandsons, Layne and Caleb; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Dawn was preceded in death by her father and mother.
