Obituary of Odne Stokka

A private family service will be held for Odne Stokka, age 77, of Milford.

Odne Robert Stokka, the son of Selma (Baas) and Odne Stokka, was born November 17, 1942 in Algona, Iowa. After high school, Odne graduated with his nursing degree from Broadlawns in Des Moines, Iowa and later from St. Paul Ramsey Anesthesia.

On October 4, 1963, Odne was married to Marlene Tripp in Minnesota. Odne worked as a nurse anesthetist in Algona and Estherville.

Odne enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, boating, and motorcycles but especially liked Corvettes. He also loved chocolate and donuts.

Odne passed away July 4, 2020, at his home in Milford, Iowa at seventy-seven years of age.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene Stokka; three daughters, Dawn (Pat) Malay, Elizabeth (Chuck) Borth and Catherine (Monte) Burrell; grandchildren, Josh Malay, Cory (Allison) Malay, Ashley (Brett) Marschall, John Malay, Marisa (Matt) Neiderhiser, Mollie Borth, Abby Borth, Carly Borth, Ella Borth, Emily Burrell, Evan Burrell and Brennan Burrell; great-grandchildren, Mason Malay, Aubrey Malay and Addison Marschall.

Odne was preceded in death by his parents, Selma and Odne Stokka; and sister, Suzanne.
