Vance was a business acquaintance that became a friend. It was a pleasure to hear his insights on business. He was greatly respected by Steelcase associates at many levels in that company. He had a long relationship working with Steelcase and other nationally known companies.
My wife and I enjoyed taking Laura and Vance to Thunder basketball games to see their beloved Spurs. I will miss the opportunity to get to know him better outside of the work world.
I know I will remember things he said and the gentle way he worked with others as I finish out my career.

it was my pleasure to work closely with Vance during his time in Oklahoma. He was one of the kindest and most caring people I have ever known -- and his love for and pride in his family frequently came up in our conversations. I will miss him greatly.
