Obituary of Michael Foster

A Memorial Service for Michael Foster, age 59, of Sioux Falls, SD, will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Interment will be held at Lakeview Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake.

Michael Allen Foster, the son of Verlyn and Mary Lou (Larrimer) Foster, was born February 6, 1962, in San Fernando, California. He graduated from high school in Fairbury, Nebraska and continued his education at the University of Nebraska School of Nursing.

Michael enjoyed music, drama, playing the guitar and piano. He was a part of various small bands and praise bands. Michael also enjoyed playing video games. He was a member of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church.

Michael passed away March 29, 2021, in Omaha, Nebraska at fifty-nine years of age.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Foster; sister, Julie Huffman (Mike); nieces, Jamie Chambers (Cody), Denise McKnight (Adam) and Roxanne Clark; nephews, John Ayers (Amber) and Jared Foster (Jordan); great-nieces and great-nephews, Aizlyn, Preslee, Payton, Addison, Jaxson, Callen, Maklin, Pierse, Ethan, Benton and Brooks.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Verlyn Foster; brother, Mitchell L. Foster.
