Obituary of Jeanne Derner McBride

Jeanne Elaine Derner McBride was born January 7, 1947 in Spencer, Iowa, the daughter of Leona and Bernard Derner. Jeanne graduated from Milford High School. She continued her education receiving her Bachelor of Arts at University of Iowa and her Masters at Drake University. Jeanne served as Director of Student Activities at Drake University, Mankato State University and North Country Community College. She started her twenty year with the Federal Bureau of Prisons as the Director of IT. She enjoyed outdoor activities, playing piano, art and sewing. Jeanne passed away October 1, 2010 at her home in Dublin California at sixty-three years of age. She is survived by her sister, JoAnn Wintz of Milford; nieces, Renae Collins Gibbs (Don) of Rapid City, South Dakota, Dawn Lichtenberg (Jeff) of Brookfield, Missouri, and Tina Wigren of Branson, Missouri; nephew, Michael Cobb (Christina) of Hollister, Missouri; grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Katelyn Collins, Braden Lichtenberg, Carissa Cobb, Javen Lichtenberg and Ali Cobb; other extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Leona Derner and one sister, Connie Cobb.
