Jim and family, so sorry to learn of the passing of Shirley. My last memory of her is when mom (Evie Greiner) and I visited with Shirley and Jim at Glenwood several years ago now. We had such a nice visit that day. Shirley always had such a sweet smile and personality, a wonderful, pretty woman. Very sorry for your loss, praying for your family at this difficult time.

You have our sympathy Jim and family. Loved living across the street from you and Shirley. We had some good chats when I would come for icetea on the patio or coffee inside. Good memories from those times. We are in CA. visiting our son Joel and family for the winter and just got word of your loss. Sorry and take care.

My sympathies to all of the family- I so enjoyed the smiles they shared when I saw them at the Presbyterian Church- Jim worked with my dad at IE and then they both helped at funerals at the church. I feel very blessed to have known her and Jim both.

Dear Jim and family, so sorry to learn of Shirley's passing. I think of the two of you from time to time and have fond memories. I've felt guilty about not visiting you at Glenwood but I guess it's been quite some time since you were there. Anyway, we know a special person has reached her heavenly home and though it hurts, may the memories ease the pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Kay Davidson (your cleaning gal)

Jim, I wish to tell you just how special Shirley was to me. She and Bill Minner hired me to work at City Hall here in Marshalltown and what a wonderful employer I had. I will always remember how fair and gentle she was to work for. The best job I have ever had. And she made that special for me. May the Lord watch over you Jim. Sue Wolken-Winter

Dear Jim and Family.
Your Promise Keeper's group is now down to Chuck and I. What a pleasure we
had those years with you and Shirley. Rev. David Beckmann meets with a group
of men in the lower room that you were responsible for building in our church in
Marshalltown. This morning we met and honored you and Shirley for your friendship, hospitality and contributions to our church and community. May God guide you and your family thru the coming days and know that you are in our prayers.

I met Jim and Shirley through my father, Don Krumm, when they lived at Glenwood Place. Always cherished the visits with both Jim and Shirley. It isn't easy letting go of a parent. My father passed away in July. May the Lord wrap his arms around Jim and the entire family and guide you through the days ahead. Ginger McCready

Our heartfelt sympathy to Jim and John and all the family. Shirley and Jim are two of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of knowing. One of the more special memories I will always have was getting a call from Jim asking me "what do you have there that Shirley would like?" and then taking out to Glenwood several items of clothing for Shirley to look at. The time spent with them was always so enjoyable. They were like my grandparents. Jim- I hope you are doing as well as you can at this hard time. Shirley will be the best dressed woman in heaven- Prayers and thoughts-Jonathan Hull and family
