Obituary of Lucy Krogman

Lucy Krogman was born to Paul and Elizabeth (Bork) Arndt on March 28, 1926 at Jackson, Minnesota. On May 28, 1946 she married Anthony(Tony) Krogman in Lismore, Minnesota and to this union ten children were born. They lived for two and a half years in Richmond, California after World War II and moved to Lismore, MN where she lived until the death of her husband in 1985, after which she moved to the lakes area. Lucy was a member of St. Josephs Church in Milford and later St. Mary's Church in Spirit Lake. She was also a member of The Catholic Daughters, Christian Mothers and a Life Member of the American Legion Auxiliary, all in Lismore. Lucy was a colorful person who loved meeting people and was known for her waitressing, hosting, escorting bus tours, and caring for those less fortunate. A favorite pastime was driving the Lucy K. Lucy passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake. She is survived by sons, Dennis (Josie) of Tamuning, Guam, Ike (Julie) of Sherburn, MN, Ron (Sue) of LaCrosse, WI, and Galen (Ruth Hubbling) of Lismore, MN; daughters, Alanna Kirt of Manitowoc, WI, Ann (Mike) Miller of Columbus, OH, Paula (Al) Tietz of Spirit Lake, Jean (Lance) Vath of Welcome, MN, Joan (Grant) Fairchild of Jewell, IA and daughter-in-law, Carrie Krogman of Fennemore, WI; fifteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tony, son, Rick and son-in-law, Tom Kirt.
