Obituary of Roger William Wieck

Roger William Wieck was born October 2, 1945 in Spirit Lake, Iowa, the son of Frederick and Miriam (Fischer) Wieck. Roger graduated from Spirit Lake High School. He was enlisted in the United States Army in 1967 and served in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1973. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, socializing and was a member of the VFW. Roger worked at a meat packing plant for many years. Roger passed away on March 30, 2009 at the Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at sixty-three years of age. Roger is survived by his brother, John Wieck and his wife, Connie; two sons, Martin and his wife, Stephanie of Marengo, IA and Matthew and his wife, Angela of Des Moines, IA; one granddaughter, Paige and two grandsons, Parker and Payton; nephews, Jason, Adam, Mark, William and niece Kathy. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Erwin and Phillip.
