Obituary of Elaine Brown

Elaine Mary Brown was born to William and Mary (Kotze) Gednalske at Dubuque, Iowa on March 22, 1929. On January 3, 1951 she was united in marriage to Merle Brown at Dell Rapids, South Dakota. The couple lived in Dell Rapids, South Dakota and Colman, South Dakota before moving to Arnolds Park in 1960. Mr. Brown died in 1987. Elaine was retired from Berkley's after many years of service. Mrs. Brown passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Lakes Regional Healthcare where she was receiving Hospice care. She was 79 years of age. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Elaine loved pets and animals; dogs in particular. Left to cherish her memory is her son in law, Rocky Baker of Milford, daughter, Lynn Bernal, three grandchildren, Jim Brown, Dana Knockle - Kern and Jillian, as well as many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Brown, her daughter, Marilyn Baker in March of this year, father, William Gednalske, mother, Mary Gednalske, and step father, Fred Gednalske.
