Obituary of Marie Schuett

Marie Martha Raveling Schuett was born to Severt and Mae (Schut) Raveling on December 3, 1919 in Melvin, Iowa. She graduated country school and worked until she met her future husband, Albert. Marie and Albert were married on November 18, 1940 in Worthington, Minnesota. Marie worked for Campbells Soup Company for twenty-four years. All the while continuing to live on the farm in Sioux Valley, Minnesota. Marie was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux Valley. She loved spending time with all of her family, playing cards, visiting and enjoying their company. She also loved the outdoors; working in her garden was a favorite pastime and passion. She was able to work in it to her last days. Marie died peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Sanford hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at eighty-eight years of age. Surviving are her children, Gary (Arlys) Schuett of Sioux Valley, Minnesota, Sandy (Denny) Reed of Round Lake, Minnesota and Ronny (Cheryl) Schuett of Worthington, Minnesota; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lena Roelofsen of Toronto, South Dakota, Ravina Hintze of Las Vegas, Nevada and Arlene (Lloyd) Hintze of Sioux Valley, Minnesota; brother-in-law, Russell Sebby. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert and her sister, Phyllis Sebby.
