Obituary of Dixie Lee Roth

Mrs. Dixie Lee Roth, 70, of Spirit Lake passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Spencer Municipal Hospital in Spencer, Iowa The family will have a private graveside service at a later date. Dixie Lee Roth was born August 20, 1942 the daughter of Mervill and Minnie(Weitzel) Russell. Dixie graduated from high school in Mason City, Iowa in 1960. She was united in marriage to Kenneth P. Roth on December 9, 1978 in Forest City, Iowa. The couple made their home in Milford, Iowa since 1979 and previously in Forest City, Iowa. Dixie was a member of the Lutheran Church. She operated Country Time Farm in Spirit Lake. Dixie loved dogs and cats, sewing, making crafts and doll clothes, gardening and visiting with family and friends. Dixie passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012, at the Spencer Hospital in Spencer, Iowa at seventy years of age. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; son, Jeffery Bohl from Mason City, Iowa; daughter, Monica Bohl from Clear Lake, Iowa; sister, Delores Schulte from Manly, Iowa; brother, Jack Russell from Phoenix, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her father, Mervill Russell; mother, Minnie Russell; stillborn son, Russell Bohl in 1965.
