Obituary of Norman Bremer

Norman Lewis Bremer was born October 17, 1930 in Sibley, Iowa, the son of Robert and Florence (Hesebeck) Bremer. He graduated from high school in rural Osceola County. Norman enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1954. On October 10, 1952, Norman was united in marriage to Shirley Ann (Taylor) Bremer in Terril, Iowa. They farmed in Ocheyedan, Iowa before moving to the Lakes Area after retirement in 1986. Norman was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and for the last several years, Norman enjoyed his winters in Florida. Norman passed away October 6, 2012 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake at eighty-one years of age. He is survived by his sons, Michael (Lori) Bremer of Waterloo, Iowa, Robert Bremer of Clear Lake, Iowa and Steven Bremer of Arnolds Park, Iowa; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; parents, Robert and Florence.
