Obituary of Mary Schroeder

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 11:00am at Union Memorial Church in Milford. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 20 after 4:00pm with the family present from 5:00-7:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Mary Lou Schroeder was born April 2, 1928 in Dickinson County, Iowa, the daughter of French and Rose Ann (Baschke) Yeager. On September 15, 1947, Mary was united in marriage to Charles Schroeder in Spencer. Mary enjoyed cooking, fishing, flowers and spending time with her family and friends. Mary passed away November 17, 2012 at Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa at eighty-four years of age. She is survived by her son, Doug Schroeder and his wife, Pam, of Mesa, Arizona; Ernie Schroeder and his wife, Joanne, of Watertown, South Dakota and Mark Schroeder of Milford; twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Nancy in 1999; husband, Charles; four brothers, Henry, Mike, Bob and Bernard; one sister, Rose.
