Obituary of Patricia Meyerdirk

Private family graveside services for Patricia Meyerdirk, 77, of Lake Park will be 2 pm Friday, November 30, 2012 at Silver Lake Cemetery in Lake Park. The public is welcome to attend a gathering at Patricia's home beginning at 3 pm Friday, continuing into the evening. Patricia Ann Meyerdirk was born April 20, 1935, the daughter of Ted and Viva (Mc Cool) Lowry, in Harris, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Harris, graduating from Harris Community School. Patricia was united in marriage to Glen Meyerdirk on November 7, 1954 in Harris. The couple made their home in Sioux Valley, Minnesota until moving to an acreage southwest of Lake Park in 1975, where they farmed. Additionally, she worked as a home health aide, and was a waitress at Sioux Valley Log Cabin. Patricia was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lake Park. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in her flower garden, as well as camping and fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Patricia passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at her home in Lake Park at seventy-seven years of age. She is survived by her children, Roxie (Tim) Lueders and Greg (Patrice) Meyerdirk; grandchildren, Ben Meyerdirk, Jessica Lueders, Jeremy Lueders and Jenny Lueders; great-grandsons, Logan and Liam Sandman. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty (Don) Dillehay, Marilyn (Verlyn) Sorenson and Jackie Albers; brothers, Ted (Marge) Lowry, Bob (Ruth) Lowry, Jim (Linda) Lowry and Jerry Lowry; sisters-in-law, Norma Meyerdirk, and Pearl Schultz; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Schultz, and Jim (Lynda) Wilcox; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glen, brother-in-law, Ed Meyerdirk, sisters-in-law Gladys Migis and Beverly Schultz and brother-in-law, Stan Albers.
