Obituary of Jane Wittrock

Jane Elizabeth Wittrock, the daughter of Leo Ralph Parks and Mildred Ruth Groves, was born January 3, 1946 in Spencer, Iowa. She graduated from Arnolds Park High School in 1964. On August 27, 1966, Jane was united in marriage to James Francis Wittrock at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Milford, Iowa. Jane worked in customer service at Parks Marina for twenty five years. She enjoyed working on the lake and cherished the lifelong friendships she developed with her co-workers. Jane enjoyed watching her children in all their sports and activities. After her children were grown, she spent many hours watching her granddaughter's extracurricular activities. Her biggest joy was to spend time with her family. She also liked to bowl, spend time with her bowling girls and she enjoyed Sunday morning breakfasts with her husband and group of friends. She also enjoyed shopping, puzzles, crosswords and watching soap operas. Jane passed away March 13, 2013 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at sixty-seven years of age. She is survived by her husband, James; children, Jeff Wittrock, Joe Wittrock (Jodi) and Jackie Sangel (Todd); grandchildren, Bryanna, Lindsey and Emma Wittrock, Aubrey and Miley Sangel; one brother, Butch Parks (Debbie); one sister, Shari Hruby; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
