Obituary of Pegi Reints

A Mass Of Christian Burial for Pegi Reints, 70, of Okoboji, Iowa and formerly of Waverly, Iowa, will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 5, 2019, beginning at 4 pm with the family present from 4-6 pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Parish scripture reading will begin at 6:00 pm following the visitation at the funeral home.

Margaret "Pegi" Joan Koll Reints, the daughter of Michael and Rita (Goodrich) Koll, was born June 15, 1949 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She graduated from Pocohontas Catholic High School in 1967. Pegi lived in various places throughout Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska before recently moving to Waverly, Iowa and Okoboji, Iowa.

Pegi was involved in service work including Little League coaching, Den Mother, hospice and nursing home volunteer and a mentor. She also spent time with missionary work and volunteering in the women's shelter. She loved crafts, writing poetry and could fix anything. Pegi was an athlete, especially swimming. She was an avid golfer, hunter, game player and could catch fish like no one else, in any body of water!

Her greatest joy was being a mom and grandma and never missed her kids or grandkids activities. Pegi had a wonderful sense of humor and was a faithful Catholic that sang beautifully at mass.

Pegi passed away August 2, 2019 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake at seventy years of age.

She is survived by her son, Jon (Sara) Allen; son, Jason (Huma) Allen; daughter, Molly (Arend) Swygman; brother, Paul Koll; sister, Mary Ann (Skeeter) Mathison; grandchildren, Ocean Bianchi, Michael, Jacob and James Allen, Jay, Maggie and Jack Swygman; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pegi was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Rita Koll; brothers, Michael Koll and David Koll; maternal and paternal grandparents.
