Obituary of Tom Kyle

A funeral service for Thomas Kyle, 58, of Lake Park, will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the United Methodist Church in Lake Park. Interment will be in Silver Lake Cemetery in Lake Park. Visitation will begin at 5 pm, Monday, December 30, 2019, with the family present from 5-7 pm at the United Methodist Church in Lake Park. Thomas Nelson Kyle was born January 9,1961 in Rock Rapids to Loran and Margaret (Harries) Kyle. He passed away on December 27, 2019 at Sibley Specialty Care in Sibley, Iowa. Tom lived most of his life in Northwest Iowa graduating from Central Lyon High School in 1979 and later receiving his degree in Golf Course Management. On October 13, 1990 Tom married Karla Jean Hansmann at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hull, Iowa. They lived in Rock Rapids, Iowa and moved to Ft Madison, Iowa in 1994. Tom and Karla welcomed their first son, Nathan on August 8, 1993 and their second son, Jordan, on April 12, 1999. The family moved to Lake Park Iowa in 2000. Tom has worked in the trucking industry for thirty-five years. He loved nothing more than watching his boys in their sporting events and playing golf. Tom is survived by his wife, Karla; sons, Nathan (Maddy) Kyle of Larchwood, Iowa and Jordan Kyle; sister, Patti (Bill) Scholten of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two aunts, one uncle, two nephews and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loran and Margaret; aunts, uncles and cousins.
