Obituary of Donna Bjorklund

A private family graveside will be held for Donna Bjorklund, age 77, of Milford. Donna Marie Simington Bjorklund was born May 19, 1942, on the family farm by Ruthven, Iowa. Donna was the youngest of her family. After Donna graduated from Ruthven in 1960, she attended business school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After returning to Ruthven, she met and married Gene Bjorklund on May 15, 1964. To this union three children were born, Inga, Doug and Amanda. They moved to Milford in 1965 and Donna was still living in the same house when she died. She worked several jobs including Berkleys Milford Nursing Home, StyleCraft, JoWacos and Wal-Mart. Donna enjoyed meeting and watching people, going to casinos and loved her family. Donna passed away peacefully at her home in Milford on May 6, 2020. She is survived by her children, Inga Hoffman of Milford, Iowa, Douglas (Kimberly) Bjorklund of Farragut, Iowa and Amanda (John) Bollman of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Alison (Ray) Cook, Anthony Dirks and John Bollman III; great-grandchildren, Karson, Michael, Evelyn, Micah and Noah. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; parents, Elmer and Inga Simington; granddaughter, Courtney Bjorklund; siblings, Eulalia, June, Paul, Irene, Jerry, Johnny, Clyde, Betty Jean and Mary Ann.
