Obituary of Jerry Norman

A graveside service for Jerry Norman, age 80, of Milford, will be held Monday, December 7, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Little Sioux Lutheran Cemetery in rural Milford. Cards for the family can be mailed to: 711 Q Ave. Milford, IA 51351.

Jerome "Jerry" William Norman, the son of Ray and Ruth (Page) Norman, was born May 29, 1940 in Hoven, South Dakota.

On July 12, 1962, Jerry was married to Rebecca "Becky" Jane Wieme in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They lived in Sioux Falls for a few years before moving to Milford, Iowa in 1964 where Jerry worked as a truck driver throughout most of his life. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, watching football and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jerry passed away December 2, 2020 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, Iowa at eighty years of age.

He is survived by his children, Mark Norman of Estherville, Iowa; Mike Norman of Milford, Iowa, Matt Norman of Okoboji, Iowa and Shelly Norman (Tim Alexander) of Milford, Iowa; grandchildren, Brittney Hanson, Kelli Lange, Brian Norman, Brayden Knudson, Brianna Moulton, Madison Norman and Keegan Norman; five great-grandchildren, Aiden, Emma and Hayes Hanson, Jaiden and Nawnie Knudson and one on the way; one sister, Judy Jaqua.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Becky Norman; mother, Ruth; father, Ray; in-laws, Harry and Olga Wieme; brother, Jim; sister-in-law, Sandra Folkerts; special friend, Danny Kelley.
