I cannot imagine the pain you are feeling after the loss of such a great man. I knew Steve from Dental school and I had the privilege of sharing a corner of the lab with him for a few years, and later we were neighbors in the clinic. He was not only a great dentist, but a great mentor and friend. I always enjoyed my projects with Steve as I knew we would have fun plus, due mostly to Steve, we would get a good grade. His kindness and enthusiasm endeared him to both students and faculty alike. We were blessed to have known him and he will be missed. May God give you all strength and peace during this difficult time.

I was so shocked and sad to hear about Dr. Steve's passing. He was my dentist for over 20 years. Even though I moved away to Minnesota I drove the 2 hours each way to see him. He was such a wonderful and caring person. We shared many laughs over our dogs and families. He always had a smile...I never heard him say a negative thing about anyone or anything. I was blessed to have known him. He will be deeply missed.

I was a new transplant to the area in 2017 so when I was recommended to Dr. Christensen I felt so lucky to have found such a great dentist and he truly was. Not only that but I considered him a friend in the short time I went to him because that’s the way he made you feel. I know that if I feel the loss the way I do, I can’t imagine what the loss is like for his loved ones. You have my sympathy and prayers for a great person and family man. I feel fortunate to have known him if only for a short time.
My condolences,
Sandy Lamoureux

To the Family- My prayers for you have been many recently and will continue. I will quickly share about Steve to you, as you already know the tremendous man he was. I was blessed to get started on a path to a career in Dentistry through Steve. As a recently graduate from high school (1992), they took an interest in me and I got a job training as a dental assistant for the summer. I wore a tie to work every day and got to be over Steve's shoulder (and Linda and Miles) every spare minute, a PERFECT example of connected, compassionate care. From then on I never wavered on what /who I wanted to become.
My deepest sympathy to you all.

I take this moment to say "Thank You" to a great Dentist with a heart warming personality who viewed my teeth , patted me on the back and said "All is not lost here" and when he placed my first parcel plate in my mouth I sat and cried so we laughed knowing that all good "Hawkeye" fans laugh and cry in the best of times. God Bless the gift he shared with community of Spirit Lake and the good peoples of the Iowa Great Lakes

I was shocked to hear of Steve's passing. He was always such a caring person and so interested in his patients. I had him in class in high school. One of my fondest memories is visiting him at his parents' farm house and seeing his fridge full of dead animals to stuff. (He was into taxidermy at the time.) He leaves a giant hole in our lives.

Our deepest condolences go out to Dr Steve's family. There are no words to express how saddened and sorry we are for your great loss. I believe that God sends special people to us and Dr Steve was one of those. He was passionate about his work, very caring, and always made people feel at ease and comfortable. He was a good friend,, and always there in an emergency. He would share pictures of his family, and his dogs. He was just a truly amazing person. We went to him in Lauren's before they opened an office up here. Steve will always be in our hearts, and I pray for his family, let them be comforted by how much they were loved by him, and they will see him again in heaven. Chris and Stephany Ashlock

I am shocked and saddened to hear the news about Dr. Steve. He has been my dentist since he arrived in Spirit Lake and always went over and above to make sure I was cared for. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. He loved his family fiercely and was so proud to be a Husband, Father and Grandfather. He is gone far too soon and will be remembered fondly and missed. I will keep you all
in my thoughts and prayers.
May God bless the memory of Dr. Steve.
