Obituary of Nancy Rickman
A memorial service for Nancy Rickman, age 67 of Arnolds Park, Iowa , will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Calvary United Methodist Church in Arnolds Park. Visitation will begin at 11 am until service time at the church.
Nancy Jo Rickman was born on June 8, 1954, on her father’s birthday, she passed away on June 27, 2021, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Nancy was blessed with the gift of gab from an early age, she was a prolific storyteller. Using her gift, she worked many jobs throughout her life. She managed several local businesses and never met a person she couldn’t connect with. Nancy had many friends, no one stayed a stranger for long.
On December 4, 1985, she was blessed with the birth of her son, Bryan. She lived for her son; he was her passion. Nancy passed away unexpectedly on June 27th. Nancy will be missed by many.
She is survived by her son Bryan of Denver, CO, best friend, Phyl Gilbert of Spirit Lake, sisters Beth (Dave) Smith of Milford, Sue (Rick) Cansler of Kearney, MO, Kris (Bob) Heitner of Arnolds Park, brother Tim (Jaymee) Rickman of Milford, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Nancy is preceded in death by her father, Bobby Rickman, mother, Jody Rickman, brother, Butch Rickman and many extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Rickman family to use at their discretion.
