Obituary of Russell Brewer

A visitation for Russell Brewer, 75, of Spirit Lake will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake.

Russell (Russ) Brewer was born on July 7, 1946, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to Lawrence and Betty Brewer. Growing up, Russ attended school in Oshkosh, Wisconsin where he later graduated high school.

Russ lived in Graettinger before moving to Spirit Lake in 1993.

During his working career, Russ worked as an auto detailer and worked for Wymer Motors for 18-20 years.

Russ was a lifetime member of the Pony Express and attended the Lutheran church in Graettinger.

Throughout his life, Russ enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and had great social skills. He was loved at the Spirit Lake hospital.

Russell passed away January 3, 2022, at his home in Spirit Lake.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Richard Brewer of Graettinger, Iowa; sister, Sandy (Daryll) Lorenz of Spirit Lake, Iowa; brother, Larry (Susan) Brewer of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; stepchildren, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Russ was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Betty Brewer.
