Paul was a great teacher, mentor and friend. He gave me great advice once during my early years in teaching. "Jeffy", he said, " I decided long ago, that I could either go home happy, or go home mad.....I choose to go home happy." I always remember that when I've had a frustrating day at school. Paul had a great smile and a great laugh, and was one of the kindest and funniest people I have ever known. Patty and I are both so deeply saddened by his passing. One of my favorite song lyrics comes from one of my favorite drummers and lyricists, Neil Peart. "..as the years went by, we drifted apart, but when I heard that you were gone, I felt a shadow cross my heart..." God Bless You Paul. J&P

Paul was an amazing band instructor. I especially enjoyed that he was a French horn player as was my daughter. He was so good! Our family is so sorry for your loss, Deb. Sympathy and prayers for you, Emily, Christopher, and Nathan!

My deepest sympathy to Deb, your children, Dorothy, and your whole family. My heart breaks for you. As a West Monona classmate since grade school, Paul and I go way back. He was a buddy to many of us and beloved by all of us. Nothing but fond memories of him, his smile, and how we could laugh together. Shared band with him, classes with him, almost a birthday (3 days apart), and DNA too (We are cousins of some sort on the Danish side - but we never could figure out the math to know if 2nd, 3rd, once removed!). Many of us stayed in touch over the years. I know I'm not alone in how heavy my heart is. He was truly "one of the good guys". Our loss is Heaven's gain. Rest in Peace 'Cuz'...

Mr. Jepson was an excellent human being who always wanted students to do the best they could. My middle school band experience was made high quality by him and his mission for us to reach our highest potential. He made the world a better place, and I will always be grateful for his contribution in my life. My deepest condolences to the family and peace in mourning his loss.
