Obituary of Denise Mumm

A memorial service for Denise Mumm, age 58, of Lake Park will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 11:00am at the Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Lake Park. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00-11:00am at the funeral home.

Denise Ann Mumm, the daughter of Lyal and Vivian (Lundgren) Bonstead, was born on November 27, 1963, in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Growing up, Denise attended school in Spirit Lake and graduated from Spirit Lake High School. 

Denise was united in marriage to Donald Mumm on August 1, 1988, in Spirit Lake.

Throughout her life, Denise worked in housekeeping and enjoyed working on crafts. In her free time, Denise enjoyed fishing, being with her cat and dog, sight-seeing, talking to friends, and playing cards. She loved to have fun and be around friends. 

Denise passed on February 2, 2022, at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Donald Mumm; brother, Doug (Karen) Bonstead; sister, Deb (Chuck) Fowler; extended family and friends. 

Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Lyal and Vivian; and brother, Don Bonstead.
