Obituary of Laura Grove
A memorial service for Laura Grove, 51, of Sioux City formerly of Spencer, will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Crescent Beach Resort. Visitation will be on Friday, April 29th from 4:00-7:00 PM at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Grove Children at the United Community Bank at 1000 Okoboji Ave. in Milford, Iowa.
Laura Jean Grove, the daughter of Michael Ross and Carol Parks was born December 6, 1970 in Mason City, Iowa. At age 11, Tom Parks graciously entered her life as her step-father. After graduated from Spencer High School, Laura received her Associates Degree from Ellsworth Community College in Retail Marketing Management.
Laura lived in Burlington, Spencer and Storm Lake before moving to Sioux City where she currently lived and worked for Royal Canin.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed fishing, jet skiing, boating or anything on or by the water. She loved watching sports with friends and family, especially her favorite team, Kansas City Chiefs. She loved traveling to new places and returning to old favorites but most of all, she loved spending time with her kids.
Laura passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2022 at her home in Sioux City.
She is survived by her children, Dakota (Danielle) Grove of Buckeye, Arizona, Marisa Grove (Cody Porter) of Sioux City, Iowa, Alli Grove of Sioux City, Iowa, Logan Grove of Sioux City, Iowa and Grace Winter of Sioux City, Iowa; parents, Tom and Carol Parks of Spirit Lake, Iowa and Mike and Priscilla Ross of Bend, Oregon; sisters, Krista (Colt) Berger of Milford, Iowa and Carey (Matt) Jones of Primghar, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Laura was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arvid and Alvira Braesch; uncle, Robert (Rebecca) Braesch; uncle, Terry Braesch.
