Linda was born on Monday, September 1st, 1952, in Sibley, Iowa to Tiny Robert Snelson and Norma Worrick Snelson. She was baptized, raised, and confirmed in the Methodist church. She lived in Worthington, Minnesota with her mother and sister until they moved to Lake Park, Iowa in 1965. She graduated in 1970.
She met and later married Larry C. Webber on June 17th, 1972. They had two children, Larry Jr. in October 1974, and Tanya in November 1978.
Linda worked at Berkleys, Hilltop Care Center, the Holiday Inn as a waitress and her favorite job at the IGL Area Chamber of Commerce as a receptionist and secretary for five years. She enjoyed working with all the retailers and the vacationers. She worked for Bedell, Maahs and Miller Law Firm and then stayed home a number of years to help her husband with his construction business, mostly doing the bookkeeping. Later on, she worked as a secretary for Stoller and Larson Law Firm, an assistant to seniors at Wel-Life and residents at two Hope Haven homes.
Linda was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Izaak Walton League, and the NRA.
Linda was an animal lover having several dogs for pets. After this she enjoyed feeding the birds, squirrels, and rabbits. Linda also got the occasional uninvited guests (opossums, racoons, and chipmunks) but she could never turn them away.
Linda enjoyed senior citizens, finding them so interesting and so appreciative of anything you did for them no matter how small. She enjoyed giving hugs to anyone she knew, complimenting someone, and gifting a bouquet of flowers or a present. Gifting always made her happy. She also loved lending a helping hand to her family.
She loved decorating her home for all of the holidays, especially Halloween. She enjoyed seeing all the children in their costumes.
Linda was very close to her mom and saw her almost daily. She spent every Friday with Linda Gano, her best friend of forty-eight years, going to lunch and doing their weekly shopping.
Becoming a grandmother. What great joy she found in this special part of her life. Katherine, Hayden, Laurel, Boden, Owen, and Weston, all with such wonderful unique personalities she always looked forward to spending time with them and felt so privileged to have them living so close to her.
Linda passed away May 11, 2022 at her home in Spirit Lake.
