Obituary of David Halbur

A visitation for David Halbur, age 37, of Sheldon and formerly of Milford, will be held Friday, May 27, 2022 from 9:30-10:30 AM at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. A Prayer Service will be on Friday at 10:30 AM followed by burial at 11:00 AM at Calvary Cemetery in Milford.

David James Halbur, the son of James Halbur and Teresa Myers, was born on January 29, 1985, in Estherville.

Growing up, David attended school and graduated from Okoboji High School.

Throughout his life, David lived in Milford, Spencer, Estherville, Sheldon, and Columbia, South Carolina.

David had numerous jobs including Echo Plus, Hardees, Godfathers, Super 8, and others. 

On August 15, 2015, David was united in marriage to Amanda Jane Kinnetz in Estherville.

In his free time, David enjoyed painting, wood burning, singing, playing his guitar, making wood and clay art. 

David passed on May 17, 2022. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Bruce Halbur; two sisters, Deb and Tonya; maternal grandmother, aunts, uncles, niece, nephews, and cousins. 

David was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents, cousins, and his uncle, John.
