Obituary of Sandra Long

Mass of Christian Burial for Sandra Long, age 81, of Spencer will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Milford. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 9:00-10:30am at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Sandra's name at www.heart.org or PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284. 

Sandra Lee Long, the daughter of Ed and Ruth Wolford, was born on August 13, 1941 in Storm Lake, Iowa. Growing up, Sandra attended a country school in Spencer, Iowa where she earned her high school diploma. 

On June 27, 1967, Sandra was united in marriage to Dick Long in Spencer. 

Throughout her life, Sandra lived in Spencer and Milford. 

Sandra enjoyed living a simple life and caring for her and Dick’s home. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards, reading books, cooking, baking, listening to music, and dancing. 

Sandra passed away on November 29, 2022.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Dick of Spencer, Iowa; brother, Chuck Wolford of California; nephews, Jerry Wolford of Nashville, Tennessee and Donny Wolford of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister-in-law, Gretchen Wolford of Spencer, Iowa; many friends and family. 

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Ruth Wolford of Spencer, Iowa; brother, Don Wolford of Spencer, Iowa; and brother, Jerry Wolford of Nashville, Tennessee.
