Obituary of Richard Ritzer

Richard Lee Ritzer was born July 1, 1943 to Arthur and Violet Marie (Baker) Ritzer in Sioux City, Iowa. Richard attended East High School in Sioux City, Iowa. He served in the United States Navy. Over the years he lived in Sioux City and Early, Iowa, South Dakota and Texas. Since 1990, he lived in Arnolds Park, Iowa. Richard worked for Tom's Plumbing and Heating, LLC. Richard enjoyed working on vehicles and maintaining an acreage. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends. He was a member of the American Legion. Richard passed away October 19, 2014 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of seventy one. He is survived by his sons Scott Ritzer (Caroline) and grandchildren, Austin, Jordan and Jack; and Steven Ritzer (Dianna) and granddaughter, Haley. He is also survived by two brothers, Tom Ritzer and Bob Ritzer; nine nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Violet Marie, and father, Arthur, brothers Larry Ritzer and James Ritzer, sister Sharon (Ritzer) Rider and nephew Cory A. Ritzer.
