Obituary of Dorothy Roth

There will be no services at this time for Dorothy Roth, age 85, of Milford. Services will be held at a later date. 

Dorothy Mae Roth passed away on July 3, 2023, at the age of 85.

Born and raised in Omaha, Dorothy attended school in North Omaha. She later moved to Everly, where she met the love of her life, Tim Roth, in 1977.

On February 14, 1983, Dorothy and Tim were united in marriage at the Silver Bell Chapel in Las Vegas. They shared a love that lasted for over four decades, supporting and cherishing each other through all of life's ups and downs.

Dorothy was a hardworking individual who dedicated herself to both her family and her career. She lent a helping hand on the farm and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Longhouse Nursing Home in Spencer.

Dorothy enjoyed the simple pleasures, such as cooking and baking, where she delighted her loved ones with her delicious creations. She found joy in home projects, gardening, and spending time out on the water, indulging in her love for boating.

Dorothy had a special place in her heart for dogs and was always ready to shower them with love and care. Taking care of Tim was another priority close to her heart, showing unwavering support and affection throughout their life together. She also held a deep fascination for lighthouses, finding solace in their symbolism and beauty.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Tim Roth. Her brother, Don Barnes, and his wife Darlene, as well as her son, John Scott Scharnberg, and stepson, Mike Roth.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers.
