Obituary of Laurie Chozen
Celebration of Life for Laurie Chozen, age 67, of Naples, Florida will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 2:00-4:00pm at the Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Services for Laurie in Florida are pending at this time.
Laurie Ann Chozen was born January14th, 1956 to Ann (Makis) and Sylvan Chozen in Spirit Lake, Iowa. She passed away unexpectedly on September 21st, 2023. She graduated from Spirit Lake High School in 1974 and continued her education at The University of Nebraska graduating in 1978. She immediately went to work for First Bank Systems (later US Bank) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota as an auditor. After leaving First Bank she moved to Minneapolis, MN and began working for Target as a buyer. It was in this job that she met numerous sales representatives and decided that was something she would enjoy doing.
She left Target and began her association with the Conair Corporation and several other companies. She faithfully represented these companies until her retirement. She retired in 2005 to enjoy her life in both Minneapolis, MN and Naples, FL.
Laurie had a real gift for making lasting friendships wherever she worked, lived and traveled throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister Jane and her nephew Sam Chozen. She is survived by her brothers Mike (Donna) Chozen, David (Martha) Chozen, niece Meghan (Jon) Konold and their children Anna Grace, Jack and Claire, nephew Ben Chozen and nephew John (Katie) Chozen and their children Reagan and Quinn as well as many cousins and close friends.
