Obituary of Paul Vos

Private family services will be held for Paul Vos, age 85, of Lake Park. The family requests memorials be given in Paul's memory to be distributed amongst different organizations. 

Paul Kenneth Vos, born on June 30, 1938, in Lyon County, Iowa passed away on November 17, 2023. He was the son of Peter and Christina (Hector) Vos. Throughout his life, Paul resided in Sheldon, Iowa; Spirit Lake, Iowa; and Lake Park, Iowa. 

On February 5, 1961, Paul was united in marriage to Donna Rae Feyerabend in Sheldon, Iowa. A devoted husband, he and Donna celebrated 62 years of marriage. Paul dedicated 22 years of his career to the City of Spirit Lake Street Department. 

In his leisure time, Paul found joy in simple pleasures. He had a passion for fishing, camping, and embarking on long drives with his beloved wife, Donna. Paul cherished moments spent with his family and found companionship in his dogs. 

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Donna Vos; his children: Tim (JoLynn) Vos of Spencer, Iowa; Marsha (Allen) Hamann of Round Lake, Minnesota; Kathy Vos (special friend, Darrel Warborg) of Worthington, Minnesota; Don (Tami) Vos of Estherville, Iowa; Jennifer Moran (special friend, Brent Galema) of Round Lake, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Additionally, Paul is survived by his sister, Pauline Damstra of Sioux Center, Iowa. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Christina Vos; his brother, John "Jack" Vos; in-laws, Lawrence and Dorothy Feyerabend; brothers-in-law: Ben Damstra, Ben Dreeszen, Randy Brinkman, Brian Rueter; and sister-in-law, Lois Brinkman.
