Marvin Eugene Hansen, born on April 27, 1963, to Rodney and Carolyn (Farmer) Hansen in Estherville, Iowa, peacefully passed away on November 27, 2023, at his home in Milford.
Marvin served his country in the United States Army, earning an honorable discharge. Following his military service, Marvin met his special friend, JoAnn Wintz in 1995. They resided in Ocheyedan, Iowa before moving to the farm in Milford, Iowa. Marvin spent many years as a road truck driver.
In his free time, Marvin found joy in the great outdoors. Whether it was hunting, cast iron cooking on an open fire, camping, or tending to his garden, he embraced the simple pleasures of life. His Harley Davidson motorcycle was his trusted companion on the open road, providing exhilarating rides and a sense of freedom. He also enjoyed telling stories, especially the ones about riding a unicycle. Fishing held a special place in his heart, and he eagerly participated in numerous tournaments, creating lasting bonds with friends and family.
Marvin's beloved German short hair, Lizzy, was a source of companionship and joy in his life.
He is survived by his father, Rodney Hansen of Armstrong, Iowa, his special friend, JoAnn Wintz of Milford, Iowa, and his siblings: Wendell Hansen of Spirit Lake, Iowa; Melinda Hansen of Texas; Tom (Lisa) Hansen of Armstrong, Iowa; Stanley (Kimberly) Hansen of Dickens, Iowa; and Moe (Anne) Hansen of Dickens, Iowa. Marvin leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish the memories they shared.
Marvin was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Hansen, and brother, Bruce Hansen.
