Obituary of Lee Thompson

A visitation for Lee Thompson, age 58, of Milford, will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford.

Lee passed away on December 19, 2023.

Lee (Gog) Thompson was born July 1, 1965 in Spencer, IA to Ronald Thompson and Judith (Judy) Peterson. Lee grew up in Laurens/Marathon area and also graduated from Laurens-Marathon in 1984. Lee had lived in Arnold's Park but finally resided in Milford, IA. Lee was an over the road truck driver for Pete Klein Trucking Inc. out of Rock Rapids, IA. Lee loved spending time with family and friends, making people smile and laugh every chance he could. He loved telling jokes and doing silly magic tricks. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing pool and riding his motorcycle. 

Survivors: Tucker, his four legged best friend and trucking companion, his mom Judy (Doug) Peterson, three children, Lee (Ashley) Thompson and their four children: Octavian, Owen, Gracelynn and Maveryck; Kiesha (Joey) Thompson and their four children: Aubrey, Alayah, Axeton and Alanna; Dallas (Lucas Coleman) and Dallas's one child: Annaleah; his step-son Tristin (Charlie Gardner) Ver Mulm; his sister Ronarae (Andrew) Thompson Riemenschneider and their children; his brother Rocky (Angie) Thompson and their children and his ex-wife and mother of his three children Leslie (David Scovel) Von Holdt; and many more uncles, aunts, cousin and friends.

Preceded in death by his dad Ronald James Thompson, grandfather Lee Thompson, Grandma Arlene "Pete" and Grandma Dar, Aunt Lela, Uncle (Auntie) Merle, Bob and Janet, his brother Todd, step-sisters and many more.
