Marilyn Jean Kessler, born on October 6, 1936, in Heron Lake, Minnesota, to Otto and Verna (Finke) Berreau, peacefully passed away on January 28, 2024. She spent her formative years in Sioux Valley, Minnesota, graduating from high school in 1954 and later pursuing her education at Mankato Commercial College.
On April 25, 1971, Marilyn exchanged vows with James Kessler in Lake Park, where the couple built their cherished home. Throughout her professional journey, Marilyn dedicated herself to various roles, including positions at Montgomery Wards, Arnold Grain and Feed, and the Farmers Exchange Cooperative.
A devoted member of First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park, Marilyn actively participated in the Presbyterian Women and American Legion Auxiliary Unit #371. She found joy in playing cards and selflessly contributed to community events, such as she managed and served at the Senior Dinner Date program and volunteered at the Lake Park Mobile Food Pantry.

Marilyn's memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Verna Berreau, her parents-in-law, Howard and Bernice Kessler, and her brother, Arvid Berreau. May she rest in eternal peace.
