I, like Rebecca, was a needlepoint friend with Mrs. Hatten. She was an amazing lady. Someone to look up to and aspire to be like. I am sorry to say I lost touch with her when she no longer came to needlepoint with us. Those times are happy memories and I am sad they ended. God bless her family. I pray your many happy memories bring you comfort!

As you know, I adored Grandma Ilo very much! She was a loving, interesting, and fantastically intelligent woman - and in many ways she was my "other" grandma. I remember some Christmases she would pay a visit to Minnesota to celebrate her birthday and I was lucky enough to celebrate with her too! Seems like just yesterday we were celebrating her 80th birthday. I remember the look of delight and surprise in her eyes as she opened a gift of a beautiful Christopher Radko ornament - her favorite!
During a particularly difficult time in my life, Kate and I spent some time away to visit with Grandma Ilo. During that trip I was able to smile, feel loved, and enjoy the company of a wonderful lady.
She opened her home and her arms to me, and shared many delicious recipes that I make regularly and now share with my friends and family. I know how much you love her and how much she will be missed. I miss her too.

To Mrs. Hatten's family - I loved her ! She was part of our needlepoint group for many years. She was an amazing woman who always looked forward to our get togethers. She would take a canvas and completely repaint it to her liking. I so hope that all of you cherish the stockings she created for each of you. They were definitely a labour of love ! Her family meant so much to her and she loved each of you! I always told her I wanted to be just like her when I grew up ! Yes, a lovely lady !
