Obituary of Sharon Ann Hruby

Private family services will be held for Sharon Hruby, age 79, of Okoboji, on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 1:30pm at the Lakeview Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake. Sharon Ann Hruby, the daughter of Mildred (Groves) and Leo Parks, was born April 20, 1936 in Marshall, Minnesota. Her family moved to the lakes area in 1937 where Sharon was raised and educated. After completing high school, Sharon graduated from the University of Iowa. Sharon was a wonderful pianist and loved music. She also enjoyed watching football, especially the Minnesota Vikings, cooking and had a deep love for her family and Lake Okoboji. Sharon passed away June 5, 2015 at Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake at seventy-nine years of age. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Peter) Luzaich and Katherine (Roger) Langdon; step-mother, Sally Parks; brothers, Butch (Debbie) Parks, Tom (Deb) Parks and John (Melanie) Parks; sister, Mary Parks; grandchildren, Taylor Langdon, Nicolas Langdon, Daniel Langdon; several nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Janie Wittrock.
