Obituary of Robert Allen Ritzer

Services for Bob Ritzer, 63, of Milford, will be 10:30 am Thursday, October 8, 2015, at First Lutheran Church in West Okoboji. Robert A. Ritzer was born July 14, 1952 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Arthur and Violet (Baker) Ritzer. He was raised and educated in Sioux City, graduating from East High School. Bob was united in marriage to Cathy J. Haugen on July 21, 1972 in Sioux City. The couple made their home in Thorton, Colorado and Dillon, Colorado, before moving to the area in 1983. Bob worked as a plumber for Tom's Plumbing in Arnolds Park. He was an avid Denver Bronco and NASCAR fan, and enjoyed golf, fishing and bowling. Above all, he loved being with family, especially time spent with his granddaughter, Kiah. Bob passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at St. Luke Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa, at sixty-three years of age. He is survived by his wife, Cathy; son, Jeff Ritzer; granddaughter, Kiah; brother, Tom Ritzer, and his wife, Karen; several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Cory, brothers, Jim, Larry and Dick, sister Sharon Rider and his parents, Art and Vi Ritzer.
