Obituary of Harriet Eliasson

Harriet Christine (Nissen) Eliasson passed away on November 13, 2015 at the age of 100. Harriet was born June 27, 1915, in Osmond, Nebraska to Marie and Adolph Nissen. She was married to Robert Eliasson in 1941 and moved to Excelsior Township, where they farmed and raised their family. Harriet enjoyed a full and rewarding life. The second oldest of eight siblings, the family always enjoyed the many stories of their childhood together. She lived the simple but hard working life of farming. She also loved her flower and vegetable gardens. She was preceeded in death by husband, Robert; son, Douglas; granddaughter, Wendy Jurgens and sons-in-law, Gary Gehrt and Jim Schuring. Harriet is survived by her children, Geraldine (Eliasson) Jurgens and her husband Henry E., Roberta (Eliasson) Schuring, Loretta (Eliasson) Joyce and her husband Edward A. and Jeanette (Eliasson) Gehrt; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Harriet's life is planned at a family reunion in the spring.
