Obituary of Brad Nattress
A funeral service for Brad Nattress, age 26, of Milford, will be held Monday, December 14, 2015 at 1:00pm at Union Memorial Church in Milford. Burial will be at Milford Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 13th after 3:00pm with the family present from 3:00-5:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford.
Bradley Eugene Nattress was born January 12,1989 to his loving parents Eugene Nattress and Brenda (Smidt) Nattress. After birth, Brad was diagnosed with Moebius syndrome and was in and out of Sioux Falls Hospital until he was 9 months of age. Brad started attending Okoboji schools at 9 months of age also, being the youngest child in the state of Iowa to attend and finally graduating in 2008. After school, Brad enjoyed various jobs such as working at Hope Haven (Echo Plus) for many years and most recently Bridges Bay. Brad always enjoyed spending time with his friends at the YMCA, going to movies, dancing and music. Was very active in the Aktion Club through the Kiwanis program and enjoyed being club president as well. Brad enjoyed all of these hobbies until his passing, never skipping a beat and always ready for the next adventure.
There are truly many words to describe Bradley and many wonderful memories we all share. He had a sincere heart of gold and wanted what was best for his friends and family, putting their needs in front of his own.
Brad is preceded in death by his Great Grandpa Clarence Nattress, Great Grandma Eleanor Smidt, Grandpa Darrell Smidt, Great Grandma Grace Meyer and Grandma Jan Chapman.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Gene and Brenda, brother Greg Nattress, Lemars, sister Amanda (Cory) Climer, Spencer. Grandparents: Norman and Shirley Nattress, Milford; Brett and Margie Riggen, Arnolds Park; Uncles & Aunts: Gregory A. Nattress, Milford Christopher (Gwynne) Riggen, Memphis, TN, Michael (Laura) Smidt, Cousins: Tyler & Brianna Nattress, Evan Smidt, Samantha & Austin Riggen, Niece: Remi Grace- It was love at first sight between Uncle Brad and Remi. The love he had for here was so deep and real. We know he will now be her guardian angel and always watch over her. He has many friends and relatives that will miss him.
He will be truly missed by all.
Brad passed away at his home in rural Milford on Thursday, December 10, 2015.
