Obituary of Sharon L. Wells

A funeral service for Sharon Wells, age 76 of Spirit Lake, will be held Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 11:00AM at Good News Community Church in Okoboji. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Sharon Laree Wells, the daughter of Max and Fern Duke, was born March 3, 1939 in Irwin, Iowa. She graduated from Spirit Lake High School. On April 4, 1959, Sharon was united in marriage to Lynn Wells in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Sharon worked at Berkley's for several years. She was a member of the Good News Community Church in Okoboji and also the Christian Women of Estherville. Sharon loved gardening, dancing, quilting, her church family and women's Bible studies. Sharon passed away January 31, 2016 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at seventy-six years of age. She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Mark) Bailey of Grimes, Iowa, son, Scott (Julie) Wells of Milford, Iowa, son, Jon (Deb) Wells of Pueblo, Colorado, son, Tom (Stacey) Wells of Milford; grandchildren, Ben and Kristin Chiochon, Jaymie and Dean Prachomphonh, Molly Quintana, Tyler Cochran, Braxton Clark, Ryan and Angela Bailey, Austin Leimbach, Hannah Bailey, Jocelyn Wells and Jake Stadde, Seth and Allison Wells, Shelby Wells and Phoenix Bailey; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Beverly and Garland Barrett and Tom and Lou Duke. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Courtney and great-grandson, Benjamin.
