Obituary of Glenora Rodenberg
Funeral services for Glenora Rodenberg, 97, formerly of Lake Park, will be 11 am, Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park. Interment will be at Silver Lake Cemetery in Lake Park. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church.
Glenora Jane Rodenberg, the daughter of L'Nora (Rute) and Glenn Wells, was born July 5, 1919 in Lake Park, Iowa.
On February 5, 1938, Glenora was united in marriage to Lloyd A. Rodenberg in Ocheyedan, Iowa. The couple lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Hopkins, Minnesota and Lake Park, Minnesota before moving back to Lake Spring Park, Iowa in 1999. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park.
Glenora loved playing cards and especially loved to win. She also enjoyed watching basketball games on TV.
Glenora passed away August 26, 2016 in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota at ninety-seven years of age.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Miller of Parkers Prairie, Minnesota; son, Keith and Rita Rodenberg of Eau Claire, Wisconsin and daughter, Brenda and Phil Brink of Mt. Lake Terrace, Washington. She is also survived by grandchildren, David, Eric, Shelly, Debra, Jarod and Jeni; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Allison, Bailey, Grace, Alexandra, Emily, Ethan, Laura and Zoe; several nephews, nieces and friends.
Glenora was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Darrell and Duane Wells and many friends and relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park, Douglas County Hospice or the Rose City Evangelical Free Church in Rose City, Minnesota
