I am very sorry to hear of your loss. The lost of a loved one grieves the heart and words are never enough to take away the pain. However, our Heavenly Father knows your grief. As a loving and caring Father, He will be there to comfort and sooth your "broken-heart and crushed spirit". ( Psalm 34:18 ). May you find comfort and hope in God's promise of a day when you will reunite with your loved one again. ( Isaiah 26:19 ). My sincere condolences to the family.

I have always thought that losing a spouse would be one of the most painful experiences in the world. But knowing that him/her is with Jesus would be the most joyful! John is now walking and talking with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ because he committed his life to Christ. He will be dearly missed, but oh, what joys await in Heaven for believers! Our hearts grieve with yours, Lauren, and family! May you feel the loving arms of Jesus around you in the difficult days ahead!

The Spirit Lake senior class of 1968 included a number of highly successful members. John was one of them.I was a good friend of John's parents and learned a lot about John that cemented my relationship with him. John and I had numerous phone conversations the last several years. Issues included his outstanding success in the insurance field, heath matters we mutually experienced and news in the political arena. John surprised me when he joined me at my 90th birthday celebration in August. I've considered John my second son that I dearly loved and will cherish his friendship as long as I live!

I recall John being a super nice guy when I was growing up. He was always happy, upbeat, and sincerely interested in how others were doing. I am 10 years younger than John, my brother Craig, and the rest of the guys of '68 so I was always a little "twirp". But they were a class, with real class, that I could look up to.

What a friend we all had in John. What a loss for all who knew him.
John was always upbeat.....always ready with a smile.
His competence and intelligence surpassed only by his love of family and his genuine kind and caring nature.

Like so many of you, I found it hard to believe John, a good man in so many respects, had pasted on. I first met John during our U. of South Dakota fraternity days way back in 1968. John's many attributes were easily recognized during the "rushing" process; resulting in his being accepted and activated as a "brother." I was fortunate enough to reconnect with John years later when he entered the scene are our company's insurance agent. His sincerity, knowledge and ambition was even more obvious than when I first met him. I knew that we were certainly in good hands. Through the years, everyone in our organization looked to John for guidance and advice, knowing full well that he would always have our best interests in mind. About two months ago, John and I talked seriously about meeting up with a old college friend and brother at Okoboji for dinner. Sadly, we failed to see it happen. The world is a better place thanks to John. We all will miss him and all that he faithfully brought to the table. Thoughts and prayers to you Lauren, the girls and the entire family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news about John. He was our company's insurance agent dating back to the early 1990's. Through the ups and down of business, John was always there for us, and always looking out for our best interests. He was a man of honesty and integrity, and I considered him my friend. My deepest sympathies to his family. John, you will be missed greatly!

John was loved by everyone that knew him; his smile and presence could light up a room. Without John, we can honestly say we would not be where we are today. His love and guidance has taught us so much throughout the past 8 years that we have known him. We have shared a ton of amazing memories that we will never forget; Horseback riding for the first time, taking the pontoon to Galena to eat, celebrating his birthday at the Timberwolves game, and spending time with his beautiful family. John always called me his 4th daughter and he bragged to my husband Aaron that he got to have the first dance with me at our wedding (John - you'll always have the first dance). John has touched our heart in a way that we could never describe; we will miss and think of him with each day that passes. Sending prayers and love to all of his family. Love Aaron, Alisha, Marcus, and Maverick Krogman
