Obituary of Josh D. Hinders

Joshua Dylan Hinders was born July 20, 1969 in Sioux City, Iowa to Carole and Roger Hinders. His birth coincided exactly with man's first steps on the moon. He never missed that question on a test. Josh was a graduate of Milford High School, ILCC and the University of Iowa. He chose to work in the family business. Many who worked for him at Mrs. Lady's called him a friend as well as a boss. Although he struggled with primary progressive multiple sclerosis, he worked to the end when Mrs. Lady's closed in 2014. His disease worsened quickly. He battled hard, but some battles can't be won. Josh's passion was music. He loved to research and share music. His all-time favorite song was "Those Eyes, That Mouth" by the Cocteau Twins. My Bloody Valentine was his favorite group, but he liked all kinds of music. Being a list maker since childhood, he spent much time listening to and ranking music. When he was healthy, he loved to walk, jog, work out and play tennis. He missed walking the most. To him, El Fredo Pizza was the best, always with extra sauce. He will be deeply missed. Instead of a funeral, Josh wanted a gathering at his home on July 20, 2017 his 48th birthday. It will start at noon and end whenever, at 1001 Eloise Street in Okoboji. Any memorials will go to support the passage of a Right-to-Die law in Iowa.
