Obituary of Josh Jacobson

A funeral service for Josh Jacobson, age 35, of Milford, will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Harbor of Joy Lutheran Church in Milford. Visitation will be on Monday, December 4th from 5:00-7:00 PM at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Joshua James Jacobson, the son of Corbi (Cherry) Jacobson and David Jacobson, was born May 1, 1982 in Spirit Lake, Iowa. He graduated from Okoboji High School in 2001. Josh lived in various locations before moving back to the Iowa Great Lakes Area in 2010 where he worked at Okoboji Tree Service in Milford. Josh was a wonderful father from the second he laid eyes on Ziva. He loved spending time with her whether it was letting Ziva put bubbles on his bald head or singing every song with her from her movies. Ziva had and always will have her daddy's heart. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and working out with his friends whom he always considered family. He loved to spend time with his family, especially arguing with his sister. Even through his struggles in life, Josh always had a desire to deepen his faith. Josh passed away November 30, 2017 in Milford, Iowa at thirty-five years of age. He is survived by his daughter, Ziva; mother, Corbi Jacobson; father, Dave (Barb) Jacobson; grandmother, Dorothy Cherry; grandfather, Basil Jacobson; sister, Jlynn (Kevin) Jones; niece, Rylynn; nephew, Caleb; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bob Cherry; grandmother, Kay Jacobson; great-grandmothers, Marie, Gertrude and Francis; great-grandfather, Basil Jacobson, Sr.
