Obituary of Charles Paine
A funeral service for Chuck Paine, 56, of Spirit Lake will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm on Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family requests that you wear casual Harley attire to the service in memory of Chuck. Following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life Gathering at the VFW in Spirit Lake.
Charles Glenn Paine, the son of Bonnie (Fredricks) and William Paine, was born September 25, 1961 in Charles City, Iowa. After his mom passed away, William married Sherren Massee who helped raise Chuck and his siblings. After attending the Rudd Rockford Marble Rock High School, he lived in Jackson, Minnesota for a time before moving to Spirit Lake, Iowa.
On July 29, 2006, Chuck was united in marriage to Barbara Stewart in Spirit Lake. Chuck worked as a heavy equipment operator for Cedar Valley Construction out of Waterloo, Iowa.
Chuck was a very giving person and had a big heart. He loved reminiscing with old friends and talking with anyone he met. He enjoyed motorcycling, mud bogging, racing, fixing things, camping and horses. At one time, he and Barbara raised rocking mountain horses. Chuck truly loved his family and his beloved wife, Barbara.
Chuck passed away June 1, 2018 as a result of a motorcycle accident near Spirit Lake, Iowa at fifty-six years of age.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Paine of Spirit Lake; son, Scottie (Mary) Vollrath of Livermore, Iowa; two daughters, Dani (Kraig) Bolte of Alta, Iowa and Chelsey Jo Herrig Paine (John Short) of Waldorf, Maryland; grandchildren, Ryan Bolte, Ella Bolte and Wyatt Vollrath; sisters, Sandy (Scott) Wolff, Starla (Bill) Silvey, Janice (Dennis) Ernst, Nancy (Dennis) Stewart, Tammy (Rusty) Miller and Billie (John) Dow; many loving nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Chuck was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ted and Rhoda Fredricks; parents, Bill Paine, Bonnie Paine and Sherren Paine; three brothers, Teddy, Mike and Ron Paine; one sister, Lorri Waters; one nephew, Nick Miller.
